TRESSA MILLER

I explore various styles of two dimensional work from figurative narratives to minimalist statements and gestural abstraction. My first academic training was grounded in American abstract painting and I continue to return to those roots while also developing drawings, paintings and collage combinations that are often stabilized within a grid. My latest paintings focus on landscape imagery and were inspired by a recent trip to Mammoth Lakes.

Tressa Miller was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, attended Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio and received her BFA from Ohio State University. She continues her art education with Tom Wudl, Los Angeles. Miller’s work has been shown in exhibitions at Tom Wudl Studio, Ilana Bloch Studio, Shoshana Wayne Gallery, Art Share L.A., the National Council of Jewish Women, and Blossom Market, Chinatown, Los Angeles. She has shown with StudioEleven at Maker City LA, Colburn School, the Ebell of Los Angeles, Santa Monica College Barrett Gallery and the Neutra Institute Gallery and Museum. Miller is represented in both corporate and private collections.
