In the past my work was primarily figurative and representational. Exploring abstraction has enabled me to have a different relationship with paint; no longer tied to an image, I play with texture, shape and color in an intuitive way, scraping, collaging and blending paint with brushes and palette knives.
Lynn Deegan was a television executive for many years and most recently worked as an interior designer. She has always made art and now paints full time. She has exhibited at the Colburn School and the Malibu Cultural Arts Center and is in numerous private collections.
