My artwork is an exploration of the unseen world and how it manifests into physical form. I work in a meditative state and most of my work is composed of many transparent layers of paint. Sometimes I feel the images that emerge are an expression of the world of flowers or rocks or the depths of the ocean. Other times it feels more connected to the quantum field of reality on either a microscopic or expansive universal place.
Darcy studied art at Buffalo State College, Art Students League in New York, Brentwood Art Center and at Tom Wudl Studio in the Los Angeles Art district. Her work is influenced by her spiritual interests in yoga, meditation and human energetics. Other influences include cinema, photography and commercial image making.
